Our Story

Brian Swift's life changed forever at 17 when a football injury left him paralyzed. This pivotal moment ignited his passion for accessible recreation, leading to the creation of Swift Outdoor Accessible Recreation (SOAR). The organization is dedicated to providing outdoor opportunities for individuals with disabilities, ensuring that everyone can experience the healing power of nature.

Impact

Since 2015, SOAR has disbursed over $1.3 million, funded nearly $700,000 in empowerment camps and grants, and served over 200 athletes. The organization has empowered 2,185 individuals and families across 36 states and Canada, making a significant difference in their lives.
