Our Story

Founded in 1983, Survivors of Homicide, Inc. emerged from the heartache of families grappling with the murder of their loved ones. Initially a small support group, the organization has grown to become a vital resource for those navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system. In 1987, Survivors of Homicide became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, expanding its mission to advocate for victims' rights and support families in their darkest hours.
