Our Story

Founded in 1988 by Barbara Blaine, the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP) began as a small network of survivors and has grown into the largest and oldest support group for victims of clergy sexual abuse. With over 25,000 members and support groups in more than 60 cities across the U.S. and worldwide, SNAP is dedicated to supporting survivors, protecting children, healing the wounded, and exposing the truth about abuse in religious institutions.
