About the Survivor Fund
Co-founded in 1995 by a dedicated group of medical, mental health, and social service providers at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue and NYU Grossman School of Medicine, the Survivor Fund addresses the complex needs of torture survivors in New York City. Since its inception, the Program has provided essential services to nearly 6,500 men, women, and children from over 112 countries, regardless of their ability to pay.
