Sunset Spark
EIN: 45-4683418 · Brooklyn, NY
Our Story
Sunset Spark began in the summer of 2008 when Yadira and Gaelen introduced soldering and robotics to 3rd and 4th graders at P.S. 24 in Brooklyn. By 2013, the mission evolved into a full-time commitment, partnering with local schools to deliver creative technology instruction. With a dedicated educator and engineer, Sunset Spark now teaches over 3,000 children annually.
Impact
Last year, over 3,000 students learned robotics, computer science, and game design, with 95% coming from first and second-generation immigrant families. Monthly workshops and family events foster community engagement in science and technology.
