Our Story

Founded in 1990, Summit County Community Partnership emerged from a coalition of over 180 local entities dedicated to combating the devastating effects of substance abuse in Summit County, Ohio. With a focus on environmental strategies, SCCP has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at reducing substance abuse.

Impact

In 2015, Summit County faced 303 overdose deaths linked to prescription opiates and heroin. By 2016, that number surged to 851 overdoses in just seven months. As a key member of the Summit County Opiate Task Force, SCCP actively works to mitigate access to prescription drugs through programs like Drug Take Back Days and the Deterra Project.
