Founded in 1998 by Shirley Nelson and a dedicated team of business professionals, Summit Bank Foundation emerged from the vision of Summit Bank to enhance financial literacy and education in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Over the years, the Foundation has evolved its mission to include vital health initiatives, particularly in cancer research. By partnering with the UCSF Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Research Center, the Foundation aims to support groundbreaking research and provide scholarships to resilient students overcoming adversity.
