Our Story

In the summer of 1973, a dedicated family, with support from the Yolo Council for Retarded Children, launched a pilot program to create a home for adults with developmental disabilities. This initiative, known as 'Summer House,' quickly proved successful, leading to the establishment of a permanent residence in 1974. Over the years, Summer House has expanded its services, now supporting approximately 75 individuals in Yolo County.
