In 2005, a transformative trip to India inspired Shannon Keith to take action against the harrowing realities of sex trafficking. Hearing the stories of women trapped in the sex trade, Shannon recognized the urgent need for sustainable solutions. She gathered a dedicated team of family and friends to seek out organizations in India committed to making a difference. Together, they discovered that providing safe, steady, and living-wage employment could pave the way for freedom and choice for these women.

Since its inception, Sudara has trained over 7,500 women, with 100% reporting an increased sense of purpose and safety.
