Our Story

Since 2003, the Student Program for Academic and Athletic Transitioning (SPAAT) has been dedicated to empowering student-athletes in their academic and athletic journeys. Co-founded by Harold Pearson, Russell Crew, and Brent Johnson, SPAAT was born from a desire to provide the support that many student-athletes lack. What began as a small initiative serving just 10 students has blossomed into a robust program impacting over 600 young lives annually.

Impact

SPAAT transforms the lives of over 600 student-athletes every year, achieving a remarkable 100% high school graduation rate and a 97% acceptance rate to colleges and universities. The organization focuses on increasing college readiness and providing advocacy to steer young people away from negative influences.

Why Donate?

Every dollar invested in SPAAT's programs helps change a young life. Donations are crucial for sustaining and expanding these transformative initiatives.
