Our Story

In 2015, Louis Tse, a Ph.D. candidate at UCLA, witnessed students sleeping in unsuitable places on campus. To address this urgent issue, he lived in his car for two years, saving rent money to establish a student-run shelter for those experiencing homelessness. In 2020, he founded the Student Movement of Justice and Opportunity to support students who became homeless during the COVID-19 pandemic, engaging them in the fight for basic needs.

Impact

Our vision is to ensure student well-being through food, housing, and economic justice, essential for academic and personal success.
