Our Story
Strong Foundations Elementary School was established to ensure that every student receives excellent reading instruction. Founded by Beth McClure and a dedicated board, the school received unanimous approval from the New Hampshire State Board of Education in 2006 and opened its doors in 2007 with just 51 students. Over the years, Strong Foundations has expanded its offerings, adding a grade each year until reaching 8th grade in 2012, and now serves over 340 students in a state-of-the-art facility that has grown from 6,000 sq. ft. to over 38,000 sq. ft. In 2008, it became the only public school in New Hampshire recognized as a Friend of Core Knowledge, enhancing students' vocabulary and reading comprehension through a rich curriculum.
