Founded in 2004 in memory of Dylan Cappel, who lost his battle with colon cancer at just 23, Strides for Life is dedicated to preventing and detecting colon cancer early. The organization focuses on high-risk populations, providing essential educational programs and screening initiatives.

Impact

Strides for Life aims to increase awareness and screening for colon cancer, which is nearly 95% curable if detected early. The organization offers colonoscopies for those who cannot afford them, particularly targeting uninsured and underinsured individuals in San Mateo County.
