Our Story

In June 2001, Pastor Tony Gapastione and his church interns discovered a group of hungry individuals near the train station in Menlo Park. They began bringing meals and offering prayers, which sparked a commitment to serve those in need. With the support of Peninsula Covenant Church, this initiative grew into what is now known as Street Life Ministries (SLM). In 2012, SLM became a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, continuing its mission to provide food, clothing, and essential services to the homeless community.

Our Impact

Today, SLM serves over 30,000 meals annually, operating four nights a week in Menlo Park and Redwood City. The organization also offers clothing, medical supplies, and connects individuals with shelter and rehabilitation services.
