Our Story

In 2009, Zewge Kagnew witnessed a heartbreaking scene in rural Ethiopia: a child drinking from a contaminated water source. This moment ignited a passion for change, leading to the formation of Stream of Hope, Inc. by a group of dedicated Ethiopian-Americans. With a mission to provide clean water and sanitation, the organization has successfully completed nineteen projects across four regions of Ethiopia, transforming the lives of countless individuals.

Impact

Stream of Hope has brought clean water to 17 villages and two schools, significantly enhancing the health and quality of life for thousands, especially women and children who previously trekked long distances for unsafe water.
