About Strategic Advocacy for Human Rights

Founded in 2008, Strategic Advocacy for Human Rights (SAHR) began as a student-led network of human rights defenders, primarily from the global south. Now a peer-led organization, SAHR focuses on increasing access to justice for women at the margins, particularly in South Asia and the Middle East. The mission is to empower women and diverse leaders to shape laws and policies related to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).
