The Strand Theater Initiative was established in 2001 to rescue a historic theater from demolition. With a vision to transform The Strand into a vibrant cultural, educational, and community outreach center, the Initiative successfully purchased the theater in 2002. After extensive renovations, the theater reopened its doors in July 2009, offering a diverse array of live performances and film screenings.
For nearly 15 years, The Strand has served as a beacon of hope and entertainment for families in the community, providing a much-needed escape from the routine of rural life.
