Transforming Futures Through Financial Literacy

Stocks In The Future Foundation Inc was founded in 2000 by Pat Bernstein in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University’s Center for the Social Organization of Schools. The organization aims to enhance the academic performance of middle school students by providing them with essential financial education. The innovative program targets under-performing students in grades six through eight, offering a comprehensive three-year curriculum that links attendance and academic improvements with learning the fundamentals of financial investment.

Through this program, students not only gain valuable knowledge about personal finance but also earn SIF dollars for good attendance and academic achievements. These SIF dollars can be used to purchase stocks, which become theirs upon high school graduation, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility.

Impacting Lives and Communities

Stocks In The Future empowers underserved middle school students with the financial skills necessary to take control of their academic and financial futures. The program has shown significant success, with increased student participation and improved school performance.
