Our Story

In 1997, a dedicated group of citizens envisioned a special needs camp to serve children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. Thus, Still Meadows Enrichment Center and Camp was born, becoming the first of its kind in the Shenandoah Valley. Nestled on 17 acres of picturesque rolling hills in Rockingham County, Virginia, the camp is designed to offer therapeutic activities in a safe and nurturing environment. The land was generously donated by founder Janet Maasch, who entrusted her legacy to the camp upon her passing in 2012. With the unwavering support of the Board of Directors, volunteers, and generous donations, the camp continues to flourish.
