Stiles Hall

Our Story

Founded in 1884, Stiles Hall is a private, non-profit agency dedicated to serving the broader community while enriching the lives of students at the University of California, Berkeley. For over a century, Stiles Hall has focused on creating pathways for higher education access and student retention through mentorship, strategy, and community engagement. Notably, Stiles Hall has a rich history of advocacy, including opposing the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II and fostering open dialogue on critical issues.

Impact

Stiles Hall is committed to developing the next generation of student leaders by providing comprehensive academic and social support for high-potential Black and Latinx students. This initiative aims to increase their academic engagement, college readiness, and leadership skills.
