Our Story

The Stewards of Kleinstuck, formed in 2007, unite neighbors, ecologists, educators, and land managers to protect the Kleinstuck Preserve and its surrounding natural areas. This community-driven initiative has successfully led to the purchase of 12 acres of undeveloped woods, now known as Little Sister Preserve, ensuring the health and beauty of these vital ecosystems.

Our Impact

Through dedicated community engagement and volunteer efforts, the Stewards of Kleinstuck have preserved 60 acres of natural land in Kalamazoo, enhancing local biodiversity and ecosystem health.
