Our Story

Founded in 1994 as a shelter for homeless adults, Stepping Stone Emergency Housing became a recognized nonprofit in 2008. With a mission to end suburban homelessness, it has expanded its capacity and services significantly since then. Today, Stepping Stone operates a 24/7 temporary home for up to 66 youth and adults, offering a unique dormitory-style setting that fosters community and support.

Impact

In 2018 alone, Stepping Stone provided over 24,000 nights of shelter to 472 individuals, making a profound difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.
