Our Story

Steel City Arts Foundation was established to create a vibrant live/work/play environment for comedians in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in memory of Martin Hofstetter by his son Steve, the foundation supports emerging comedic talent through grants and resources, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Impact

During the pandemic, the foundation provided $1,000 grants to 30 comedians and facilitated over $50,000 in work for unemployed comedians, significantly aiding their career sustainability.
