EDUCATION AND OUTREACH The mission of STEAM ONWARD is to increase the number of minorities considering STEM and STEM related careers. The "A" stands for AGRICULTURE, which also includes natural resources, and the environment. We have 3 programs. YRCP, our youth program stands for Young Researchers Community Project is focused education and outreach to youth and their parent/guardians about the diversity of STEM careers in agriculture, the environment, and natural resources. The MORE THAN FARMING program (MTF) is a series of short educational videos, created by us to illustrate: the diversity of careers related to agriculture, not just farming, the diversity of technology utilized in agriculture and natural resources, and the diversity of people engaged in agriculture and natural resources. During 2021 STEAM ONWARD introduced a newgrowers of heirloom seeds for established seed companies. In 2022 STEAM ONWARD started selling UJAMAA SEEDS as a long term funding stream for our programs.
