Our Story

State Line Abortion Access Partners was founded in 2023 in response to the closing of a longstanding abortion clinic in Bristol, Tennessee, and the opening of a new one in Bristol, Virginia. This geographical shift highlighted the challenges of abortion access in a conservative region post-Roe v. Wade. SLAAP aims to promote and protect abortion access for individuals in Southwest Virginia and those traveling to the region for care, advocating for policies that ensure access to reproductive health care and providing community outreach and education.
