The Starr Institute was founded in Atlanta in 2017 by Shavontana “Starr” Davis, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. This organization is dedicated to preventing the sexual abuse and exploitation of youth, inspired by Starr's personal journey and commitment to providing a safe haven for young people.
Since its inception, The Starr Institute has educated and empowered over 3,000 youth, adults, and professionals through various awareness and prevention events, significantly contributing to the fight against child sexual abuse and exploitation.
