STARBASE Victory is a pioneering nonprofit dedicated to providing STEM education to fourth, fifth, and sixth graders in Portsmouth, Virginia. Founded by Executive Director Bill Hayden in 2002, this unique partnership with Portsmouth Public Schools is the only public/private STARBASE collaboration in the United States.
Each year, over 3,600 students benefit from STARBASE's engaging curriculum, which includes summer camps that reinforce learning. The program has demonstrated significant improvements in math, science, and focus, while also contributing to a reduction in drug use among participants.
