Founded in 2012 by two passionate mothers, Julie Altomari and Theresa Podhurst, Star 2B Performing Arts was created to provide professional theater training to children in the Hudson Valley community. With a strong emphasis on education and professionalism, the program fosters a creative, nurturing, and joyful environment. The faculty comprises current industry professionals from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and various artistic disciplines, ensuring students receive top-notch training.
Star 2B’s mission is to offer a safe space for young individuals from diverse backgrounds to grow through musical theater. The programs inspire creativity, collaboration, and self-esteem, enabling students to thrive in the arts and beyond. Alumni have successfully pursued careers on Broadway and in various industries, applying the skills they learned to make a significant impact.
