Founded in 2017, the Stanwood-Camano Art Advocacy Commission (SCAAC) is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to building community through the arts. By partnering with local artists and organizations, SCAAC fosters collaboration and celebrates creativity in Stanwood and Camano Island.

Impact on the Community

SCAAC works closely with the City of Stanwood to develop public art policies and manage art projects. The successful Banner Project, featuring seasonal banners by local artists, has become a beloved fixture in downtown Stanwood.
