Our Story

Stanton Community Partners originated from a passionate movement to save Edwin M. Stanton Elementary School from closure. Between 2011 and 2013, a dedicated group of families and advocates successfully lobbied against the School Reform Commission's proposal to shut down this beloved neighborhood school. In 2013, Stanton Community Partners was formally established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, committed to enhancing the educational experience at Stanton through financial support and community engagement.
