Our Story

Stand Up Placer began as a grassroots movement in 1974, evolving into a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing critical services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Over the years, it has transformed from a small local initiative into a recognized agency serving a diverse population, including men, women, and children.

Impact

With a significant increase in capacity, Stand Up Placer now offers 48 beds in a safe house and comprehensive support services. The organization has effectively addressed community needs, serving 230 human trafficking victims in 2018, up from just 10 in 2015.
