Our Story

Stackhouse Park, named after Civil War veteran Powell Stackhouse, was gifted to the City of Johnstown in 1931. The park, primarily funded by the Cambria Iron Company, has a rich history of community involvement. Stackhouse Park, Inc. was formed in 1986 to restore and maintain this cherished space, ensuring it remains a recreational haven for all ages.

Our Impact

Through the dedication of community members and organizations, Stackhouse Park has been successfully restored, providing over 270 acres of natural beauty and recreational facilities for families and individuals. The park serves as a vital resource for the community, promoting health and well-being.
