Our Story

St. Vincent de Paul Place Middletown Inc. was established in 1980 by the Diocese of Norwich and the Sisters of Mercy, inspired by the legacy of Vincent de Paul, a compassionate priest from 17th century France. Today, St. Vincent de Paul Place continues to meet the pressing needs of the community by providing safe and affordable housing, nutritious food, and supportive services.

Every day, approximately 200 individuals benefit from the services of the soup kitchen, while over 800 families rely on the Amazing Grace Food Pantry each month. These statistics highlight the ongoing need for assistance in the Middletown area, where food insecurity and homelessness remain critical issues.
