Our Story

St. Vincent de Paul Place is a dedicated nonprofit organization affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Norwich, committed to serving those who are physically, mentally, or spiritually impoverished. Since opening in 1979, this organization has been a beacon of hope for the poor and homeless in Norwich and its surrounding areas. In 2012, St. Vincent de Paul Place moved to its current location, a former primary school, which was purchased in early 2020, allowing for expanded services and outreach.

Impact

In the past year, St. Vincent de Paul Place has made a significant impact by distributing over 1.3 million pounds of food to 3,000 unique households. The organization served 121,000 hot breakfasts and lunches, along with 37,000 sandwiches, ensuring that no one goes hungry. Additionally, over 10,000 hygiene bags and 11,000 pet food bags were provided, addressing essential needs that often go unmet.
