Our Story

Founded in 1975 by parishioners of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, St. Nicks Alliance emerged in response to a devastating fire that left 18 families homeless. Over the years, it has transformed into a vital community development nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing North Brooklyn through affordable housing, economic development, and essential community services.
