Our Story

Founded in 1870 by The Sisters of the Community of St. Mary, St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children was New York City’s first hospital dedicated to acutely ill children. Over the past 150 years, the organization has evolved, relocating to a nine-acre campus in Queens and expanding its services to include a family-centered home care program for children with complex medical needs.
