Our Story
In 1987, two Sisters of St. Francis established the St Marys Franciscan Shelter to address the urgent needs of homeless families. Guided by the Gospel and the spirit of Saints Francis and Claire of Assisi, the shelter fosters dignity and independence while creating a safe, peaceful, and temporary refuge for families in crisis.
Impact
Since its inception, the shelter has provided over 192,000 nights of shelter and 578,000 meals, helping families regain stability and hope.
