The St. Martin Iberia Lafayette Parishes Community Action Agency, known as SMILE, was founded in 1965 in response to the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. This agency has evolved over the years to serve the tri-parish area, providing essential social services to help low-income individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency.
