Our Story

In July 2014, the Daughters of Charity of the Province of the West recognized the pressing needs of underserved individuals in Los Angeles. Sister Margaret McDonnell, DC, conducted a thorough needs assessment, revealing significant barriers that hindered access to available programs and services. This led to the establishment of St. Louise Resource Services (StLRS) in July 2016, a mobile ministry dedicated to connecting individuals and families with essential health and social service resources.

Impacting Lives

Since its inception, StLRS has been a vital part of the Los Angeles County community, providing no-cost screenings for program eligibility, assisting with enrollment processes, and advocating for those in need. The organization has proudly supported countless lives, addressing food insecurity and promoting health equity, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the support they deserve to thrive.
