Founded in 1954 by Father James Jones, Saint Leonard’s Ministries began as a sanctuary for homeless ex-offenders in Chicago. Recognizing the challenges faced by individuals returning from incarceration, Father Jones aimed to provide a safe haven that would prevent recidivism. Over the past 70 years, the organization has transformed into a comprehensive health and social service agency, offering evidence-based programs that improve quality of life and stimulate economic opportunity.
