Our Story
St. Joseph’s Family Center has a rich history rooted in grassroots efforts to create meaningful change in the community. Founded in the mid-1960s by a dedicated group of women from St. Mary Parish, led by Marge Albaugh, the organization began as a small initiative to provide food and clothing to those in need. Recognizing that the need extended beyond the parish, St. Joseph’s Family Center was formally established in 1981. Over the years, it has evolved into a vital resource for the City of Gilroy, serving as the giving arm of local churches, businesses, and individuals.
Our Impact
With over 90% of financial resources directed towards assisting very low-income families and the homeless, St. Joseph’s Family Center plays a crucial role in the community.
