Our Story

The St. Joseph Peace Mission for Children was founded in response to the tragic death of a four-year-old boy, Philip Strain, due to child abuse. This heartbreaking event highlighted the urgent need for a safe haven for abused, neglected, and at-risk youth in the community. Established on October 27, 1996, the mission has since dedicated itself to providing a nurturing environment for vulnerable children.
