Founded in 1986 by Kathy and John Conrad, St. James’s Children’s Center emerged from a personal need for quality, inclusive education for their son. Partnering with Geraldine Johnson, a dedicated special education teacher, and with the generous support of St. James’s Church, the Center began its journey to provide exceptional early childhood education to all children in metropolitan Richmond.
Over the years, St. James’s Children’s Center has transformed the lives of over 1,500 students, many of whom have pursued higher education and successful careers. The Center emphasizes the critical role of early childhood education in laying a strong foundation for lifelong success.
