More than 40 years ago, a simple act of kindness sparked the creation of St. Gregory's Pantry. Originating from St. Mary's by the Sea Episcopal Church in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, this initiative has grown into a vital community resource. With the support of over 250 dedicated volunteers, St. Gregory's Pantry operates five days a week, ensuring that families in need receive essential food supplies.
Each year, St. Gregory's Pantry provides temporary aid to approximately 10,000 individuals, serving around 50 families weekly. Major holiday distributions during Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas reach about 300 families each, making a significant difference in the community.
Every dollar donated goes directly towards purchasing additional food, fresh produce, milk, meat, and other basic necessities for those in need. Your support ensures that the pantry can continue to serve the community effectively.
