Our Story

Founded in 1927 by the Sisters of St. Francis, St Francis Healthcare System of Hawaiʻi has been a cornerstone of compassionate, quality healthcare in the islands. Rooted in a mission to provide holistic care guided by the values of charity, peacemaking, joy, and simplicity, this organization has evolved from a single hospital into a comprehensive network of services, including post-acute care, hospice care, and home health services. Over the decades, St Francis has expanded its reach and impact through innovative programs, all while staying true to its founding principles.

Serving over 10,000 hot meals and providing hospice care to 1,170 patients yearly, St Francis demonstrates a steadfast commitment to the community's health and well-being.
