Our Story
The St Francis Living Room was established in 1987 as a program of the St Anthony Foundation, focusing on homeless and low-income males in the Tenderloin. It was created to combat loneliness among seniors in the area. In the early 2000s, a dedicated group of secular Franciscans took over, transforming it into an independent nonprofit organization. Today, the Living Room serves seniors aged 60 and older, providing a safe space for social interaction and essential services.
