St. Coletta Special Education Charter School
EIN: 52-2387329 · Washington, DC
Our Story
Founded in 1959 by dedicated parents, St. Coletta of Greater Washington began its journey in a small basement with just five students. Over the decades, the school has evolved, moving to various locations before establishing a permanent home in Alexandria in 1996. This expansion allowed for the introduction of an adult day program and a growing student body. In 2006, the program relocated to its current campus in Washington, D.C., and in 2008, an adult program was launched in Rockville.
Impact
Today, St. Coletta serves 500 children and adults with intellectual and multiple disabilities, providing tailored instruction and diverse activities that foster personal growth and development.
