Our Story

St. Bernard Hospital was founded over a century ago by Rev. Bernard Murray, who envisioned a healthcare facility for the Englewood community in Chicago. In 1903, the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph answered his call, sending seven sisters to help establish the hospital. Together with local residents, they raised funds and broke ground in 1904, creating a vital resource for the community.

Impact

St. Bernard Hospital is committed to delivering high-quality care with dignity and respect, treating patients like family and addressing their holistic needs.
