Our Story
For over 25 years, a dedicated group of families has gathered to recite the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Ashtottara, fostering a sense of community and divine bliss. As these gatherings flourished, the need for a more sustainable approach became evident. In 2019, the vision of establishing the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Brundavana in Chicagoland was born, leading to the creation of the Rayara Matha. This sacred space serves as a beacon of religious, cultural, and spiritual values, rooted in the teachings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy and Madhva philosophy. Since its inception as a nonprofit organization, the Sri GuruRayara Seva Samithi of Illinois has been committed to organizing community events, festivals, and cultural programs, all under the guiding principle of inclusiveness for all.
