Founded in 2006 in the Bay Area, Sprouts Cooking Club began with a mission to empower kids and young adults to lead healthier lives by teaching them to cook alongside real chefs at local restaurants. In 2012, the organization expanded its focus to include a Chef Training Program, designed to help youth experiencing hardship achieve stability and financial autonomy through life success training and restaurant internships.

Sprouts Chef Training empowers youth experiencing hardship by providing life-changing job training and employment opportunities, achieving a remarkable 90% graduation rate and helping 67% of graduates secure job offers from mentors.
